The Challenge

J Burton started out as a one-man operation in groundworks and civil engineering. As his reputation grew, so did his ambitions. But winning larger, higher-value contracts required demonstrating a level of compliance and competence that went beyond his existing systems.

With clients requiring formal accreditations as a condition of tender, the client needed a trusted partner to help him build out the health & safety infrastructure his business required.

The Solution

Majestic came on board at the end of J Burton’s first year in business. Working closely with the client, the team developed a complete health & safety management framework, including all policies, processes, risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments. All tailored to their work.

Majestic also managed the accreditation process, successfully securing CHAS status as the first priority. From there, the relationship continued, with two further accreditations achieved as client workload and requirements grew.

The ongoing relationship also includes regular site audit inspections. With the Majestic team attending sites to verify systems are being put into practice.

The Results

Since partnering with Majestic, J Burton Groundworks has grown significantly. Three industry accreditations are now in place, unlocking access to a wider pool of clients and higher-value contracts that would previously have been out of reach.
